The removal of 'good' things they once enjoyed speaks to a spiritual truth: when we place barriers in the path of faith, when we turn our hearts from the Divine, we lose access to the very goodness we once cherished. It's a poignant reminder that our actions shape our spiritual landscape, either opening us to receive or closing us off from the abundance that surrounds us. It's a loss not because of divine withholding, but because of our own choices to distance ourselves from the Divine light.
