Submitting Your Will to His, A Gentle Breeze to Your Heart

Whithersoever he willed. The winds obey, guided by a gentle breeze—a breeze that obeys. I've been thinking about this verse, and how we are all ‘builders and divers’ of sorts. We are all building our lives, diving into the seas of our experiences, yet we often struggle with finding direction. Sometimes, when our ‘winds’ are scattered, it’s because we haven’t submitted our wills to His, and it makes the journey so much harder. What if we could simply let go, and trust that He will guide our winds? It's not about controlling the wind, but knowing that it will follow His breath. "It isn't that we don't have a will, but a will that is channeled by His divine grace." The wind, then, becomes a gentle breeze, smooth and peaceful, guiding us along the path He has chosen. "It isn't about control, it's about the flow of His mercy."

Chapter 38 : Sad, Verse: 36

Then We subjected to him the wind: it ran gently by his command withersoever he directed. (36)

The Divine Code: From Revelation to Resurrection - A Journey of Faith

This verse invites me to ponder the nature of my faith, not merely as an idea in my mind but as an acceptance of the divine code unveiled throughout history. It speaks of embracing the revelation sent to us through the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and recognizing its continuity with the wisdom conveyed through those who came before. The Qur’an, in this sense, is not a replacement for the Torah and the Gospels, but a completion of the divine message—a continuation of the same light shining through different ages. It highlights that true belief transcends time and culture, acknowledging the shared wisdom of the prophets. It is a journey of faith, a path of understanding that weaves through the ages with the threads of divine guidance. The essence of belief lies in embracing the divine word, regardless of its source. We are called to accept the divine code, the wisdom of prophets and the messengers of God. And, to me, the essence of our faith is to believe in the Hereafter. It is in the depths of our hearts. The faith in the Hereafter is the one that gives us purpose and meaning in our lives.
